ABOUT
dr. jaime horner
Dr. Jaime Horner grew up in Minnesota riding and competing horses. These experiences developed a strong interest in equine sports medicine so she pursued a career as an equine veterinarian. After graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, her interest in equine sports medicine brought her out East and to Wellington, FL to work with United States and Canadian Olympic Veterinarians for Show Jumping and Eventing. There she traveled extensively nationally and internationally to care for Olympic level athletes and as an FEI treating veterinarian at major competitions. Dr. Horner is also certified as an equine acupuncturist through the Chi Institute to continue to offer the best services for her patients.
Dr. Horner is passionate about the equine athlete and her advanced training and knowledge allow her to give the best possible care in sports medicine.

Sport injuries occur at all levels of performance whether on a leisure trail ride, speed events or being able to run and jump.
Injuries include muscle strains, tendon/ligament injuries or arthritis pain.

Evaluations are performed to monitor the horse’s comfort and to stay ahead of soreness or weaknesses that could cause an injury.
This can include lameness diagnostic and treatments, regenerative therapies such as High intensity Laser therapy, Shockwave, injectables, acupuncture and preventative maintenance programs.

But It's not enough to simply have access to various products. You have to know when, where, and why you are using them. I will explain each treatment and make recommendations on which treatment or therapy will be best for your horse.
